The Stuffy Muffy Christmas Directory

Happy Thanksgiving week, dear readers! ‘Tis the season for turkey and tracking down a terrific surprise for everyone on your nice list. In the spirit of supporting smaller brands, I wanted to publish a list of places I personally patronize year-round. This isn’t your typical gift guide, rather an old-fashioned rolodex of clever and very chic outposts organized by category. Two categories to be exact: Ladies and babies. Whether you’re browsing for the haute hostess in your life or your prickly niece, there’s an online shop for that.

Ladies First

Houses and Parties: Doyenne of event design Rebecca Gardner combines irreverence and incredibly good taste in her curation of celebratory pieces. Think vintage glass stir sticks and an emerald marquis necklace made of chocolate. Gifting has never been so fun!

The Avenue by Lyndsey Zorich: LZ and her talented team scour the Earth for the best sources in tabletop, style, and beyond. I adore their Hibiscus Linens personalized sweatshirts, headbands, and jewelry for gifting. (Shop their 30% off sale with code BLACKFRIDAY.)

Riley Sheehey for Moda Domus Table: If she’s been nice, like really nice, send her a little something from this exquisite hand-painted collection. Shell shaped plates and glassware brimming with blooms will be used for years to come.

India Amory: Who doesn’t love new linens? A set of dinner napkins or a tablecloth from my favorite hand block print purveyor may just score you an invite to an enchanting evening.

Gatopard: Whimsical and classically pretty, these cocktail napkin sets by sister design duo Griffith and Blythe are sure to set the hostess’ heart pitter patter.

Amy Berry Home: One of each please! I’m a big fan of everything at this design and lifestyle shop—it is equal parts elegant and tastefully laid back. Try a rattan tray, coaster set, or pillow pair for the newlyweds on your list.

Paloma & Co.: For the design enthusiast, you’ll find a menagerie of pieces to pretty up their space from geometric vases to sculptural intaglios. Their mix of modern and traditional hits just the right mark.

Home with Hechart: Southern charm meets high style with this Birmingham-based e-commerce concept dreamed up by a decor-loving mother and daughter. Send a framed intaglio or a preserved magnolia wreath as a housewarming and holiday gift in one. (Use code STUFFYMUFFY15 for 15% off your purchase now through 12/31.)

Alexis Walter Art: Her work is nothing short of dreamy and that is why her Smalls Shops always sell out in minutes. Don’t miss 5×7 mixed media works going live this Friday the 27th at noon central on the dot. Anyone would be drop dead thrilled with an Alexis Walter original under the tree!

Weezie: This female-founded bathleisure company from Savannah, Georgia pairs exceptional quality and fresh details for the softest towels this side of the Mississippi. My pick is their incredibly comfortable robe, personalized of course. (Enjoy free shipping on all orders through December 1st.)

Camilla Moss Designs: Heaven knows we all need some grounding as we close the chapter on this year! Watercolored scripture cards are the perfect present for your bible study pals or any gals needing encouragement.

Dogwood Hill: Welcome to the land of endless stationery options. Collections by artists such as Holly Hollon and Inslee Fariss delight in the form of paper goodness. Personalized notepads and calling cards make excellent stocking stuffers! (Use code THANKFUL2020 for 15% off orders of $40 or more between Friday the 27th and Monday the 30th.)

Caroline’s Cakes: Send some sweetness via snail mail with one of these incredible seven layer confections in flavors like their signature caramel and traditional carrot. A box of cake bites make wonderful client or teacher gifts, they even offer gluten free options.

Fallon Jewelry: A source for the loveliest masks in the land—think ruffles and ruching, chintz and tartan. These make an excellent gift for teachers and girlfriends, especially when paired with the below brand’s wares.

Dermaglove: Yes, hand sanitizer is one of my favorite presents—it is 2020 after all! Their formula is organic, smells incredible, and spritzes out of the most attractive bottle. The founder is from Atlanta which makes supporting this local business even better.

Bauble Stockings: Enjoy introducing the bauble stocking tradition to your friends and family with these needlepoint beauties meant to hold the last, and best, gift of Christmas. Each stocking is hand stitched in Haiti, an effort that employs 100 single mothers working to improve the lives of their families.

For the Children

Art Life Practice: I discovered this genius brand on Instagram and as an art history major, it makes my heart sing. Gift the young artist in your life a collage kit for hours of creativity that will surely be welcomed as winter looms near. (Black Friday sale includes 20% off all kits.)

WS Game Company: This is a good one, you’ll see. Nothing beats a tried and true game like Monopoly or Chutes and Ladders, these are made even better with the original boards and pieces and a vintage book box or tin to put it away in. We have Candyland and it is my favorite gift to give!

Maisonette: Looking for toys? This site is one of my go-to sources for all manner of age appropriate play things from a wooden cash register to a family of miniature mice. (Cyber week sale includes 30% off select items.)

Party Pickup: Aside from their darling soiree offerings like balloon garland kits and themed tabletop bundles, this cute company also has Fun Boxes filled with surprises. Send some to your nieces and nephews to enjoy throughout the holiday season, their parents will thank you.

Hazel and the Hound: All the best brands in one sweet online shop which, I must add, is very hard to find! Think Rachel Riley bubbles and Lullaby Set hand-embroidered accessories. Their cardigans make a wonderful gift, children can never have too many sweaters!

Dondolo: I’ve had Louisa donning Dondolo since she was three months old, their classic designs and quality make each piece extra special. Feel good about purchasing their clothing as it supports ethical manufacturing and employment of mothers in Colombia who benefit from the social causes that Dondolo takes part in. (Use code BLACKFRIDAY70 for 70% off sale items starting Thursday, November 26th.)

Baybala: For fresh and comfortable play clothes, we adore this Alabama-based brand. Their fabrics are very soft and the patterns camouflage grass stains and the like making them just as practical as they are pretty. (30% off site wide with code BAY30.)

Bows & Blue: My friend Emily recently debuted her new shop, a delightful collection of unabashedly feminine accessories. For the littles in your life, try a placemat or one of their signature hand-painted picture frames.

If you’ve made it through this whole list, you deserve a little something too—tell your husband I said so. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! xx
