Summer Soirée: Setting the Table with India Amory

Hello dear readers! I hope you all are enjoying a more relaxed pace of life during these balmy months. Here at Chez Muffy, when we aren’t traveling we are having friends and family over as our summer schedule is a bit more conducive to entertaining.

A dinner party is always a good excuse to get familiar faces together and, for me, the best part of prepping for such an occasion is setting the table. Once I choose a theme, in this case bringing garden glory indoors, I’ll select table linens. My mainstay for Indian block printed table cloths, dinner napkins, and placemats for the last couple of years has been India Amory. Julia Amory, the founder of this exquisitely classic home goods and accessories brand, curates a collection of patterns for every chic fête you can think up.

I was so very flattered when Julia asked me to create a tablescape for India Amory’s The Block Print series which features tastemakers in every creative arena from interior decorating to fashion design. I landed on their Aegean Chintz tablecloth, a kaleidoscope of dreamy blues and periwinkles, and added to the scheme with potted plants and rattan flourishes.

i LOVED both interviews. I was only surprised to see a missing name from the ideal party guest list.
