Hot Off the Press
I’m thrilled to share with you all an article that I contributed to this month’s issue of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles. It was such a treat to write about designer Suzé Surdyk Jones’ elegant home.
Suzé marries sophistication and function with aplomb in her new abode—the traditional haven is especially inspiring for those looking to downsize. I learned quite a bit from Suzé’s approach to collecting for longevity and making rooms work in a smaller footprint. You may read the piece here or purchase a copy of AH&L at your local newsstand for plenty of editorial goodness!
Apple of My Abstract Eye

When you find yourself daydreaming about a piece of art, you must purchase it immediately. Or in my case, share the artist’s ouvre with your dear readers and hope that Mr. Muffy agrees with the first sentiment. I came across Sara Genn’s captivating canvases a couple of weeks ago and I’m enthralled by their soft yet striking composition and palette. She is represented by Voltz Clarke Gallery in New York City and Dimmitt Contemporary Art in Dallas.
A Note on Needlepoint

My ever-so-accomplished friend Jessica of Lycette Designs shared the most fabulous profile on needlepointess Elizabeth Donaldson this week. Ms. Donaldson showcases exquisite, sentimental projects she and her family have completed along with what she finds inspiring. To read, please visit here.
Bonne Nuit

Miss Louisa received some beautiful new bedding for Christmas. If you are familiar with decorator turned bedding designer Bailey Quinn McCarthy, you know that she can do no wrong aesthetically. I ordered the Biscuit Home crib sheet seen above and am overjoyed with the quality. This particular design is named after Truvy, the Southern scene stealer in my favorite movie of all time, Steel Magnolias. In her famous words, “it takes some effort to look this good!”

Show House Splendor

The second annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach opens on Saturday, January 26th and will welcome visitors through February 20th. Participating designers include Meg Braff, Louise Cronan, and Danielle Rollins with proceeds benefiting the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. I will be attending and am excited to share a first look of the resplendent rooms here on Stuffy Muffy. For show house details, admission, and tickets to the Opening Night Preview Party (hope to see you there!), please visit here.
Bon week-end, dears! xo
